Shipping Notices

Local (South African) Buyers:

The following options are available:

a) collect your wines from the winery from 19 October.

b) collect your wines from Vineyard Connection just outside Stellenbosch from 26 October (Monday to Friday – no weekend collections).

c) have your wines delivered to you by Vineyard Connection from 28 October (please see attached Delivery Costs document for pricing).

d) have your wine stored for you at Wine Cellar in Cape Town (Wine Cellar's fees apply and this needs to be arranged by yourselves directly with Wine Cellar).

Overseas Buyers:

UK Buyers - Delivery in bond to Bonhams at LCB:

Clients wishing to have their wine shipped in bond to London City Bond, need to advise the CWG in advance. They will receive a formal quote for delivery from the Guild after the Auction, once we know how many cases they have purchased. The reason for this is that we will be able to co-load purchases that are to be delivered to Bonhams bond to keep delivery prices low, and provided there are 80 cases (6 x 750ml) or more of wine destined for this address, the price per case would range between R400 and R500 per case (excluding UK duties and taxes, and delivery from Bonhams to yourselves - if required). The CWG would quote and charge you for the delivery from South Africa to Bonhams and Bonhams would charge you for the delivery to your address from their address (if required) and for the duties and taxes.

All international deliveries can also be arranged by our appointed courier company, The Vineyard Connection. They offer a reliable and professional delivery service for wines traveling abroad from South Africa. Please contact Lara Philp on +27(0)83 261 3978 or e-mail: lara@vineyardconnection.co.za for further details.

Arranging your own delivery via your own shipping agent:

All wines must be taken delivery of no later than 8 weeks after the Auction. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange the shipment of their wines. Purchasers must please appoint their own shipping agent who should contact the CWG Office directly regarding the shipment of all auction purchases. The wines are sold ex-works and all shipping costs will be for the account of the purchaser. This includes all FOBBING costs and Foreign Exchange charges. The wineries will be responsible for applying for and supplying the Export Certificates and Exemptions.
